We are living in a time in which those who are referred to as "experts" are giving us the opposite of what we need. Radiation is being used to "cure" cancer when in fact it causes cancer. Antibiotics, which cause fungus, are being used to treat sinus infections, which are most often fungal infections! Antacids are routinely prescribed for digestive disturbances when most often the disturbance is caused by not enough acid.
The medical establishment and pharmaceutical companies are proving to be money driven businesses that may not be looking out for our best interest. Take into consideration medical errors. Medical errors are the number one cause of death and injury in the United States. The numbers of annual deaths in 2005 from modern medicine is as follows: Hospital Adverse Reaction - 106,000, Deaths from Medical Error - 98,000, Deaths from Bedsores - 115,000, Deaths from Infection - 88,000, Deaths from Malnutrition - 108,800, Deaths from Outpatient Adverse Reaction - 199,000, Deaths from Unnecessary Procedures - 37,136, Deaths from Surgery-Related - 32,000 Deaths, Total Annual Deaths by Modern Medicine - 783,936.
Compare these statistics to the risks of natural medicine. Ron Law, a statistician, in a report titled "Analysis of Relative Risks and Levels of Risk in Canada," showed that the use of dietary supplements caused only an average of five confirmed deaths per year over the past 25 years in the USA. Most of these deaths were related to a single batch of tryptophan and were not due to the nutrient but to a genetically-engineered synthetic binder. Tryptophan itself was proven not the cause.
